Privacy policy

This site sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across websites. It uses cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics and records a minimal event when you choose an email or WhatsApp contact link. The event contains no email address, phone number, IP address or message content.

Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser contacts no third-party font server while you read this site.

• What you send us: your name or a pseudonym, your number or email address, and the content of your message, when you write to us. Purpose: to answer you, prepare a quotation, organise a service. Legal basis: performance of the contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
• Requesting the PDF guide: your email address, the site language, the country inferred from your connection, a timestamp and the exact wording of the box you ticked. We also record the send date and the number of downloads, so we know whether the guide actually reached you. Purpose: to send you the guide, then to follow up about sourcing in China. Legal basis: your consent, collected through the form’s tick box.
• Contact-link events: the channel you choose (email or WhatsApp), the page path, site language, timestamp, and country code supplied by our host. Purpose: to understand which pages lead to enquiries and improve the site. We do not store your contact details, message, or IP address in this event. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Event rows are automatically deleted after thirteen months.
• Audience measurement: Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated, cookieless measurements such as page views and referrer categories. Purpose: site performance and content measurement. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Technical logs: our host records connection data, including your IP address, for security and for the proper running of the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Your download link is personal to you: it is signed, valid for sixty days, and not indexed. We send no automated newsletter, no scheduled sequence, and we neither sell nor rent your address to anyone.

Commercial exchanges are kept for the duration of the relationship, then for as long as accounting and tax obligations require. An enquiry that goes nowhere is deleted on request.

Your data is not sold, rented, or passed on for advertising. It travels only through the providers the service needs:

• Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, cookieless audience measurement, technical logs, and storage of guide requests and contact-link events on servers located in Western Europe (company established in the United States).
• Resend: delivery of the email that sends you the guide, from the Europe region.
• WhatsApp, a Meta service: only if you choose that channel to write to us (United States).
• Stripe: only if you pay for a service online, to process the payment.

Transfers outside the European Union are governed by the mechanisms provided for by the GDPR, notably standard contractual clauses and applicable adequacy decisions.

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data. Write to [email protected]: we answer directly, with no form to fill in.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

This page is updated when the site’s data processing changes. A consent mechanism is put in place where the rules require one. The contact-link attribution described above was added on 23 August 2026.
